Legendary fighter Anderson Silva has shared a sincere message for Jon Jones following Jones` unexpected announcement of retirement from the UFC on Saturday.

After months of speculation about his return to competition, UFC President Dana White confirmed on Saturday that Jon Jones had officially retired.

With Jones`s retirement, Tom Aspinall, who had been awaiting his return, is now recognized as the undisputed heavyweight champion. Aspinall has expressed his determination to revitalize the division.

Anderson Silva, also considered by many UFC fans among the greatest fighters ever, shared his reaction to Jones`s retirement with a heartfelt message.

Silva`s message read: “My brother, thank you for every magical moment. Your dominance inside the cage is unmatched, and this marks the end of yet another legendary era.”

Jon Jones Reveals New Career Venture Shortly After Retirement

Although he has retired from the UFC, it remains uncertain if the 37-year-old plans to return to combat sports in any form, especially given his co-ownership of the growing Dirty Boxing Championship promotion.

However, just days after his official departure, Jones announced a partnership with Ketone-IQ, stating his intention to build a “true legacy”.
