Arman Tsarukyan Reveals Heaviest Off-Season Weight When Not in Fight Camp

UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan recently disclosed his heaviest off-season weight and detailed his eating habits when not in active fight camp.

During a candid interview, Tsarukyan explained that while preparing for a fight, he employs a dedicated chef to maintain a strict diet. His typical in-camp meals are meticulously planned: “For breakfast, I eat eggs or yogurt with granola. All healthy. For lunch, pasta, and for dinner, fish or meat with vegetables.” However, the story changes dramatically once camp concludes. Tsarukyan admits to indulging freely, stating, “When I am not in camp or on a diet, I eat what I want to eat. Right now I eat everything… Burgers, too. I like more meat, steaks, BBQ, fried chicken… I like Sushi as well.”

Arman Tsarukyan Reveals Heaviest Off-Season Weight Yet

In the same discussion, Arman Tsarukyan revealed the peak of his off-season weight. He stated that his weight can reach 86-87 kilograms, which translates to approximately 190 pounds, when he is not actively training. This significant increase makes the cut to the 155-pound lightweight limit particularly challenging, requiring him to shed around 35 pounds.

Despite reaching such a substantial off-season weight, “Ahalkalakets” has previously expressed an interest in moving down to the featherweight division (145 pounds) to face the two-time champion, Alexander Volkanovski.

Currently, Tsarukyan does not have a UFC bout scheduled. He has publicly offered to serve as a backup fighter for the highly anticipated lightweight title unification bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, set for June 14. Should the 29-year-old Armenian not be called upon as a replacement, he anticipates that his next fight will be announced following an upcoming White House event.
