Arman Tsarukyan’s Wild Alligator Encounter: UFC Star Attempts Chokehold on a Real Alligator

Arman Tsarukyan continues to capture attention with his remarkable and often daring exploits, which seem to be piling up one after another.

While awaiting his next UFC booking, Tsarukyan has maintained a busy schedule outside the octagon. He has only had one professional fight since his split decision victory against Charles Oliveira at UFC 300 in April 2024.

“Ahalkalakets,” his moniker, was initially slated to face then-lightweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 311 in January 2025. However, he was forced to withdraw during fight week due to an apparent injury. Since that time, Tsarukyan has remained active in the grappling world, participating in nine wrestling and submission contests across multiple global promotions.

Among his diverse activities, the 29-year-old Armenian fighter also secured a submission win against Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar last November. He has already competed four times outside MMA promotions in the first quarter of 2026 alone.

Beyond his athletic pursuits, Tsarukyan has maintained a strong social media presence. He frequently shares lavish dining experiences and appears on live streams with various influencers, particularly Nina-Marie Daniele (Nina Drama), which has significantly amplified his public profile.

Now, “Ahalkalakets” has escalated his series of unusual escapades by attempting to apply a chokehold to a real alligator.

Arman Tsarukyan’s Bold Encounter with an Alligator

Last Saturday, Arman Tsarukyan returned to competition, defeating former opponent Georgio Poullas by decision in the main event of RAF 07. Only two days later, “Ahalkalakets” visited Everglades Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale, appearing on a live stream with Nina Drama and KICK streamer N3ON.

During the broadcast, the UFC’s No. 2 lightweight entered the alligator enclosure. He even went as far as sitting on the large reptile’s back and humorously asking about applying a rear-naked choke.

Despite assurances from park staff regarding safety, Tsarukyan wisely opted against placing his arm near the alligator’s powerful jaws. Instead, he playfully simulated a choke for entertainment. The alligator was carefully managed by nearby trainers while the MMA fighter comically pretended to ride it, bouncing gently.

Arman Tsarukyan is next scheduled to compete against former UFC veteran Urijah Faber in the co-main event of RAF 08 on April 18th. This exciting event will be held at the Liacouras Center at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
