Biaggio Ali Walsh Suffers Shocking Upset Loss to Ronnie Gibbs at PFL 7

Biaggio Ali Walsh, who entered PFL 7 as the card`s most significant favorite by a considerable margin, instead experienced the first professional defeat of his career.

Muhammad Ali`s grandson was listed with betting odds as high as -1600 heading into the event in Chicago against Ronnie Gibbs, a 31-year-old local competitor participating in just his second professional bout. However, Gibbs delivered a stunning upset by securing a second-round arm triangle choke, shocking the mixed martial arts world.

The fight began as many expected, with Ali Walsh knocking Gibbs down with a powerful right hand within the first minute. Gibbs showed resilience and recovered well. Ali Walsh appeared dominant early, hurting his opponent multiple times in the opening frame, suggesting his victory was imminent.

Gibbs managed to survive the first round and successfully took Ali Walsh to the ground in the second. Once on the mat, Gibbs demonstrated a clear advantage, which ultimately led to his memorable submission win.

With this victory, Gibbs improves his professional record to 2-0, with both wins coming via finish. His pro debut in March also resulted in a second-round TKO victory at the Chicago Cagefighting Championship.

Biaggio Ali Walsh`s impressive eight-fight winning streak under the PFL banner is now broken, sending him back to regroup and prepare for his next challenge.
