Boapeah vs Wisse 2, Petch vs Trindade 2 on GLORY 100 June 14

The second part of GLORY`s two-day spectacular event, culminating on June 14th, is set to be a major highlight as it adds not one, but two championship confrontations to the fight card.

GLORY`s landmark 100th numbered event will feature gold on the line and displays of pound-for-pound elite skill three times in total. Building on the previously announced heavyweight bout, GLORY utilized social media to reveal the addition of two high-profile rematches, each with a title at stake.

The first of these two title fights features GLORY middleweight champion Donovan Wisse. He aims to replicate his previous success as he prepares to face top-ranked contender Michael Boapeah in a rematch nearly two years in the making. The reigning champion, Wisse, has remained undefeated since 2018, building an impressive eleven-fight winning streak. The challenger, Boapeah, has earned his shot at the belt through recent performances, including two consecutive finishes (both contested at light heavyweight) and three decision victories since their initial meeting.

A matchup of `Breakthrough` versus `Fighter of the Year` will see Miguel Trindade get another opportunity against arguably the sport`s best, Petchpanomrung. Trindade is looking for redemption in this bout.

Their last encounter took place only a few months ago in the final round of the GLORY x RISE Featherweight Grand Prix, where the Thai fighter secured a typical decision win. However, this loss did not deter Trindade. After quickly bouncing back with a knockout victory over YA-MAN in a fight utilizing 4-ounce gloves, he is now deemed ready for another challenge for championship gold.

With a significant 24-man Featherweight Grand Prix on the horizon, another collaboration between GLORY and RISE, it`s highly probable these two competitors will face each other again in the near future. Consequently, securing a win in this upcoming fight would establish momentum and allow the victor to enter that tournament holding the prestigious title of reigning GLORY Champion.
