Brock Lesnar Called Out by 58-Year-Old Legend Planning Comeback After Major Weight Loss

Brock Lesnar continues to receive challenges, despite being nearly a decade removed from competing in combat sports.

The former UFC heavyweight champion`s last fight was a victory over Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in July 2016.

However, that result was later overturned and changed to a no-contest after Lesnar tested positive for performance-enhancing substances.

Nine years on, `The Beast Incarnate` has shown no indication of returning to fighting, yet he remains a target for heavyweight competitors from both the boxing and MMA worlds.

Butterbean Targets Brock Lesnar Fight

Brock Lesnar was recently named as a potential opponent for Eddie Hall following the strongman`s MMA debut win in April. That same month, Lesnar was challenged by a legendary boxer who promised a knockout.

This challenger is Butterbean, who has undergone a significant transformation, shedding 220lbs to reach 280lbs, and has announced plans for a comeback in 2025.

While Jake Paul is a prime target on his list, a fight against Lesnar remains a strong possibility.

Mike Tyson is also considered an option for Butterbean (real name Eric Esch) if other potential matchups don`t materialize.

In a recent exclusive interview, Butterbean discussed his desired opponents:

“I would’ve loved to have fought Tyson back in the day. I would still like to fight Tyson.”

“I’d love to fight Brock Lesnar. That would be a good fight.”

“I wanna fight that people want to see and would be a challenge for me also. Brock would be a challenge, just like Jake would be a challenge. Tyson is in there. I’m just out there for a good fight that makes sense.”

“Somebody like Evander Holyfield, who is going to hit, run, and jab, wouldn’t be the fight for me.”

“I wanna fight someone who wants to fight.”

Why is Butterbean Planning a Comeback?

Butterbean retired from all combat sports in June 2013, over a decade ago.

Following his retirement, the heavyweight veteran (with a 77–10–4 record) faced worrying health issues, at one point being confined to a wheelchair after his weight climbed to 500lbs.

Now, after successfully losing 220lbs, the 58-year-old is motivated to fight again to prove that individuals can overcome significant challenges.

Butterbean elaborated on his motivation:

“I wanna do one more fight to prove to people that no matter how down you get, if you believe in yourself like I believe in myself, you can accomplish anything.”

“I wanna do it this year. Most definitely this year.”
