Nathanael Wilson, brother of Chris Eubank Jr, has issued a challenge to Harley Benn, the estranged brother of Conor Benn. Wilson aims to settle what he described as “unfinished business” in a potential boxing match.
Wilson is the previously undisclosed eldest son of legendary British boxer Chris Eubank Sr. He reconciled with his father in 2017.
Wilson, who now has a close relationship with Chris Eubank Jr and their cousin Harlem, holds a professional boxing record of 8 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw.
Meanwhile, Harley Benn, born only days after his brother Conor, also experienced a difficult relationship with his father, Nigel Benn.
Harley recently stated that he has lost contact with both his brother Conor and their famous father.
The 28-year-old Conor was defeated by the 35-year-old Eubank Jr in April during their highly anticipated second-generation clash held in Tottenham.
The long-standing rivalry between the Eubank and Benn families, ignited by Chris Eubank Sr`s victory over Nigel Benn in 1990 and their draw three years later, could potentially escalate further with this challenge.
Wilson, aged 36, used Instagram to challenge Harley, posting the message: “UNFINISHED BUSINESS!! The EUBANK BENN saga continues.”
The 28-year-old Harley replied: “Okay you’re serious let’s get it cracking.”
Wilson`s last fight was in 2020, where he suffered a third-round stoppage loss to Stu Greener.
Harley, meanwhile, holds a record of 9 wins and 2 losses and is currently signed with Misfits Boxing, known for its celebrity crossover events.
He was scheduled to fight Joe Laws (15-3) on the undercard of KSI`s event in March, but the Misfits co-founder withdrew due to injury.
Harley had previously been in discussions to fight Wilson in 2022, around the time Chris Eubank Jr was originally set to face Conor Benn.
However, that fight was cancelled after Benn failed a drug test, although his doping case was later dismissed.
A rematch between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn is reportedly being planned, potentially for September 27th in Tottenham.
