Christmas Showdown: Jake Paul Offers KSI Boxing Match

Jake Paul has put a fight against KSI on his Christmas wish list, sending his long-time rival an offer for a boxing match on December 24.

The bitter YouTube rivals have yet to settle their score in the ring, despite recent attempts to reach an agreement privately.

Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promoters (MVP) alongside Paul, stated that an offer for a Christmas Eve fight has been sent to KSI.

Bidarian mentioned that KSI and Wasserman, promoters of Misfits Boxing events, have had the contract for 15 days.

The proposed terms included a ten-round bout at 192.5 lbs in an 18x18ft ring, with VADA testing, co-promoted by MVP and Wasserman.

He added that the offer featured a 50/50 split of Pay-Per-View (PPV) revenue, except for the UK where KSI gets 60% and the US where Paul gets 60%.

A fan questioned Bidarian about the choice of Christmas Eve for the fight.

He replied, “What are you watching on Christmas Eve? Nothing. Jake and KSI will capture the attention of the entire world.”

Mams Taylor, KSI`s manager and co-founder of Misfits (known for celebrity crossover bouts), responded.

Taylor said, “Listen, we also sent you an offer, and you insisted we only make changes to yours.”

“Your offer is one-sided. Ours is fair and clearly a genuine attempt to make the fight actually happen.”

Taylor added that they counter-proposed holding the fight in the US, with a coin toss determining the ring walk order.

Their terms included full drug testing, a 190lb limit over eight rounds in a 20x20ft ring, co-promotion with mutual approval of all costs.

Taylor continued, “Your contract listed MVP as the lead promoter in charge of everything and Wasserman boxing USA as a side promoter.”

“(By the way, Wasserman boxing USA doesn`t exist). You deliberately left out Misfits as an ego-driven tactic.”

“Come on, man. Let`s give the people what they want and not let egos get in the way.”

“We have a duty to our clients and respect the fans who made them who they are!”

KSI, 31, has not fought since his controversial decision loss to Tommy Fury, 26, in October 2023.

He was scheduled to return last August but withdrew due to a hand injury, and later illness caused him to pull out of a fight against MMA star Dillon Danis, 31, in March.

KSI is now facing surgery on his injured hand, leaving his boxing career uncertain.

Meanwhile, Paul, 28, is set to fight former middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., 39, on June 28 in a cruiserweight bout.

This follows his heavyweight fight in November where he defeated Mike Tyson, who controversially came out of retirement at age 58.

Paul will now drop back down to the 200lb limit (14 stone 4lb), while KSI lost to Fury weighing a stone lighter at 183lb.

Their disagreement over weight has been the primary obstacle preventing this grudge match.

And Bidarian stated, “We are not engaging in a back and forth.

“We presented our terms to Wasserman on April 4, and the subsequent offer exactly matched those terms. Jake Paul genuinely wants to fight KSI.

“He doesn`t *need* to fight KSI. Jake has competed at 200+ lbs since December 2023 and intends to continue at that weight class with the goal of contending for a world championship by the end of 2026.”
