Connor Hughes Secures Brutal Knockout Win at PFL Belfast

Connor Hughes delivered a powerful statement to the lightweights competing in the PFL.

On Saturday, in the feature bout of PFL Belfast, Hughes faced Sebastien Di Franco. The emerging English fighter showcased the best performance of his young career, putting Di Franco to sleep with a devastating right hook during the second round.

Hughes started the fight strongly, establishing control with his sharp striking and effectively using low kicks to target Di Franco. In the second round, Hughes landed a precise right hook that penetrated Di Franco`s guard, immediately dropping him and ending the contest.

Hughes previously finished as the runner-up in the 2024 PFL Europe lightweight championship, where he lost to Jakub Kaszuba in the finals last year. This impressive victory over Di Franco now secures Hughes a spot in the semifinals of the 2025 PFL Europe lightweight championships, where his next opponent will be Gino van Steenis.
