Dillon Danis risks $85,000 in huge UFC 320 bet after recently taking devastating $150k loss

Mixed martial artist Dillon Danis is banking on a significant payout today, hoping his “brother” secures a win at UFC 320. The highly anticipated event is set to unfold at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday night.

With several major bouts scheduled, substantial wagers are expected before the action commences on October 4. A prominent Premier League figure has already shared his predictions for the card`s two headline title fights. However, his gamble pales in comparison to the massive sum Danis has risked.

Dillon Danis could win over $250,000 if Alex Pereira is victorious at UFC 320

It`s no surprise that Danis has placed such a large bet, given his close ties to one of the promotion`s top fighters. Before his recent return to MMA, Danis trained alongside Alex Pereira, a relationship Pereira himself spoke highly of.

Pereira is slated to face Magomed Ankalaev for the light heavyweight title, a rematch of their encounter in March earlier this year. Danis publicly shared an Instagram story revealing his $85,000 wager on `Poatan` to reclaim the championship. A victory for Pereira, by any method, would net Danis a remarkable $250,070. The controversial fighter expressed his confidence, stating, “Riding with my brother tomorrow. Let’s go, champ!”

Some observers believe Pereira has a significantly better chance in this rematch, especially after he admitted to being only at 40 percent capacity during their initial fight against the Russian.

Dillon Danis took a substantial betting loss earlier this year when predicting baseball

This isn`t Danis`s first foray into high-stakes sports betting. Earlier this year, he incurred a substantial loss betting on baseball. On August 2, Danis wagered $150,000 on the New York Yankees to defeat the Miami Marlins, a bet that backfired when the Marlins secured a 2-0 shutout. The inaugural Misfits MMA light heavyweight champion will be eager to recover some of his previous losses with this UFC 320 gamble.
