Luke Riley secured another victory in the Octagon at UFC London, defeating Michael Aswell Jr. in the co-main event of the evening.
Although Aswell had a strong start to the opening round, Riley’s superior boxing gradually took control, giving the Brit a 1-0 lead after the first five minutes.
Riley delivered a similar performance in the second round, consistently testing Aswell’s chin. Riley also excelled at controlling the center of the Octagon, establishing a confident 2-0 lead heading into the third and final stanza.
Despite urgently needing a finish, Aswell showed little aggression in the third round, choosing instead to clinch against the fence and accumulate control time. Unfortunately, this was not enough to mitigate the significant damage Riley inflicted during the first 10 minutes of the fight.
