Mason Jones dramatically extended his winning streak to seven by securing an impressive come-from-behind victory against Axel Sola at UFC London on Saturday.
The fight initially looked to be in Sola’s control after he connected with a spinning elbow in the opening round. However, Jones displayed remarkable resilience, enduring the subsequent assault before landing a crucial knee straight up the middle, which opened a significant cut just below Sola’s right eye.
In the second round, Jones intensified his attack, further worsening Sola’s cuts and visibly draining the French fighter’s energy. This relentless pressure paid off significantly in the third, where Jones quickly delivered a head kick that sent Sola stumbling. From then on, Sola was clearly on the defensive, as Jones systematically broke him down across the Octagon.
As Sola desperately tried to survive until the final bell, he found himself cornered against the fence, absorbing a barrage of knees from Jones.
While the stoppage didn’t materialize, Jones successfully rallied from a challenging first round to claim a unanimous decision victory and deliver a truly star-making performance.
Official Bout Result: Mason Jones defeated Axel Sola by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).
