Meet James Dean Fury, the latest pro boxer in Tyson and Tommy Fury’s fighting family who sounds exactly like Gypsy King

The Fury family is widely considered the most famous in British boxing history.

Without question, the most prominent and charismatic member of the fighting clan is former two-time heavyweight champion Tyson.

Tyson`s younger brothers, Tommy and Roman, who recently competed in Budapest, are also pursuing careers in the demanding world of boxing.

Tyson`s cousin Hughie is another boxer from the family, currently on a seven-fight winning streak since his 2019 loss to retired heavyweight contender Alexander Povetkin.

Other professional boxers in the family include Tyson`s cousins, Hosea Burton (light-heavyweight) and Nathan Gorman (heavyweight).

However, another individual from the extensive Fury family has been quietly building his reputation in boxing.

James Dean, a promising super-middleweight, is the newest Fury aspiring to become a world champion.

James, whose grandfather Jimmy Fury is the brother of renowned coaches John and Peter, started his amateur career in October 2021 and has achieved an 8-1 record from his nine bouts.

The 19-year-old`s only loss occurred in April 2024 against Oladimeji Shittu.

Nevertheless, he has rebounded impressively with five victories in just TWO MONTHS.

James has won three National Championships and a Box Cup

The teenager, trained by Hughie`s father Peter, has already accumulated numerous achievements, including THREE National Championships and a Box Cup title.

James, cousin to the British boxing icon Tyson – whom he reportedly SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE – aims to secure another Box Cup title in the upcoming 2025 tournament later this month.

Under the guidance of head coach Peter, he intends to employ the renowned Fury fighting style to become a world champion in the super-middleweight division (168lbs).

Appearing on Sky Sports, he stated:

“Of course, there`s a Fury style. Like I said earlier, you have to be a Fury to perfect it. It`s in the blood, isn`t it? I`m training every day, I`ve got my head down, and I`m fully focused and committed on what I want in life and what I want in my career.”

“And soon enough, everyone will know the name James Dean Fury because as soon as I turn professional, I will light up the super middleweight division and I`ll come for everything.”
