Michael Chandler remains optimistic that his long-awaited UFC bout against Conor McGregor will finally happen after years of anticipation.
In April at UFC 314, Michael Chandler experienced another tough defeat in the Octagon, losing to Paddy Pimblett via a third-round stoppage after being significantly impacted by strikes.
Before their fight in Miami, the anticipation grew when Conor McGregor expressed interest in facing the winner and even placed a $50,000 bet on Chandler winning by knockout.
Even though Chandler lost in Miami, Conor McGregor hinted that he is still open to fighting the dynamic competitor in a surprising UFC return.

Michael Chandler Trains with Theo Von Amidst McGregor Fight Speculation
McGregor, known as `The Notorious`, has stated his return would only happen in a stadium setting, consistently expressing his wish to fight at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
UFC President Dana White is scheduled to hold the first TKO Boxing event at Allegiant Stadium, which could potentially change his stance on hosting future UFC events there.
As discussions about a potential fight with Chandler continue, McGregor has been sharing training videos on his social media platforms.
Chandler, always in peak condition, was recently joined by popular comedian Theo Von for a training session.
Von is a genuine UFC enthusiast, often seen at events and appreciated by fans for arriving early for the preliminary fights.
This wasn`t their first joint training session; Von, who is from Louisiana, previously commented: “Oh, Chandler’s great man. Chandler is one of the hardest working dudes I know. I go to the same gym as him. You can work out near him but you definitely feel like you don’t have the same blood as him.”
Conor McGregor Remains Outside UFC Drug Testing Pool
Despite the former two-division UFC champion repeatedly hinting at a return to action, he has not yet registered a test session according to the UFC Anti-Doping database.
Consequently, his comeback is delayed by at least six months from the date he registers for testing.
Interestingly, even without fighting last year, McGregor was among the most tested UFC athletes, with 11 test sessions recorded before his initially planned return at UFC 303, which was ultimately canceled.
