The PFL community is mourning a significant loss.
Jeff Brady, a dedicated staff member, tragically passed away on Sunday in Arizona. He lost his life heroically saving two children from drowning in a river. Brady served for many years as an operations manager for both Bellator and later PFL, overseeing areas like merchandise and consumer products.
The heartbreaking news was initially shared by his twin brother, Greg Brady, who posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.
In his poignant message, Greg described Jeff as his twin brother, best friend, and now hero. He emphasized Jeff`s “incredible bravery” in sacrificing his life to save the two young boys, calling him selfless, fearless, and someone who always prioritized others. Greg expressed the deep pain of losing him but also immense pride in the heroic act and the man Jeff was, encouraging others to live with similar courage and kindness. He concluded with the poignant phrase, “Heaven gained a Viking Angel.”
Following the announcement, numerous figures from the MMA world, including fighters who had not even competed under the PFL banner like former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, shared their condolences and paid tribute.
Woodley remembered him as “An amazing human,” wishing peace to his family and celebrating his legacy.
Other prominent fighters, such as Cris Cyborg, Dakota Ditcheva, and the Pitbull brothers (Patricio and Patricky), were among the many who offered messages of sympathy to the Brady family.
