The confirmed line-ups for this year`s Soccer Aid charity match have been revealed, promising an exciting event for a great cause.
In a unique first for the event, boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will step into the world of football management, co-leading the England team alongside Wayne Rooney. Manchester United and England legend Rooney is coming out of retirement specifically to play and manage in this special fixture supporting UNICEF.

Adding to the anticipation, Fury hasn`t ruled out the exciting possibility of substituting himself into the game to potentially form an attacking partnership with Rooney, Manchester United`s all-time record goalscorer.
Upon his announcement, Tyson Fury said: “ENGLAND MANAGER! Who would ever have thought it!? I have had some big fights in my career and the prospect of leading my England team to victory this June fills me with just as much excitement as any heavyweight fight!
“Everyone knows that I am a huge Manchester United fan too, so it’s even more special for me that the game is at Old Trafford this year – and I get to manage one of my heroes, Wayne Rooney! How can we lose!? The work UNICEF does all around the world is so special and so important. I really hope that you can come along and support us this summer.”
Old Trafford will host the game this year, following recent matches held at Stamford Bridge and the London Stadium.
England secured a 6-3 victory in the Soccer Aid 2024 edition, ending a six-year streak of defeats against the World XI team.
