Tyson Fury’s Net Worth Doubles Despite Retirement

Heavyweight boxing figure Tyson Fury now holds an impressive £162 million in cash and investments within his company, Tyson Fury Ltd.

This figure represents a significant increase from the £82 million the company was valued at in 2023. Despite this substantial growth in assets, public records show that Fury received a modest salary payment of just £100,000 during this period.

The athlete, known as the `Gypsy King`, saw his firm`s value grow by £29.8 million in the past year, compared to £52.3 million the year before that. As of the end of September last year, the company`s total cash and assets stood at £186 million, against total debts of £28 million.

The accounts also reveal that Fury`s personal dividend from his company`s substantial reserves was only £100,000, which was actually a decrease of £50,000 from the amount he took in 2023.

Hailing from Morecambe, Fury significantly boosted his career in the early part of the decade by twice overcoming Deontay Wilder in world championship bouts, following their initial thrilling draw in 2018.

He continued his successful run with victories over Derek Chisora and Dillian Whyte. In 2023, he faced UFC star Francis Ngannou, winning by a controversial split decision.

Last year, Fury finally competed against Oleksandr Usyk. The undefeated Ukrainian emerged victorious in both of their highly anticipated encounters.

The first fight, a major heavyweight title unification clash held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on May 18, resulted in Usyk winning via split decision. Their rematch, also in Riyadh on December 21, saw Usyk secure a unanimous decision victory.

Following these two losses, Fury announced his retirement from boxing on January 13, 2025. However, many fans remain hopeful for a potential return to the sport.

The company, Tyson Fury Ltd, manages the finances from his boxing activities. A separate business handles income generated from merchandise sales.

According to the sports business publication Sportico, Tyson Fury, 36, was ranked as the third highest-paid athlete globally over the past year. His earnings exceeded £100 million primarily from his two high-profile fights against Usyk, supplemented by an additional £5 million from endorsement deals.

Only two athletes earned more than Fury in 2024: former Manchester United football star Cristiano Ronaldo, who earned £190 million, and basketball phenomenon Steph Curry, with £112 million.
