National Football League legend Ray Lewis may soon step onto the wrestling mat for the first time since his high school days.
Real American Freestyle wrestling is gaining traction, with several UFC fighters like Khamzat Chimaev, Arman Tsarukyan, and Colby Covington already competing. The promotion is preparing for its next major event, featuring Covington against former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad.
Beyond combat sports circles, RAF has attracted investors, including NFL icon Ray Lewis, who has ties to the Professional Fighters League advisory board and is an avid MMA follower.
Recent reports suggest Lewis is ready to increase his involvement in combat sports.

According to MMA Fighting's Mike Heck, Lewis is in negotiations to wrestle for Real American Freestyle at a future event.
Tyron Woodley, a former UFC welterweight champion, is reportedly facilitating the negotiations for Lewis's debut.
Before his full-time football career, Lewis was a notable wrestler at Kathleen High School in Lakeland, Florida, contributing to a state championship win during his tenure.
Lewis spent his entire NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, securing two Super Bowl titles. He was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2000 and 2003, and earned 13 Pro Bowl selections.
It remains unclear if Lewis will indeed compete on the RAF mats or against whom, but his interest in competing appears genuine. Regardless of the opponent, Lewis is likely to present a formidable presence, reminiscent of his commanding performance against opposing quarterbacks and running backs during his football career.
