The standout fighter from Team Vasileus is now part of ONE Championship`s bantamweight roster.
Japanese kickboxing sensation Yuki Yoza has officially joined ONE Championship, making a notable addition to their bantamweight weight class. The former K-1 lightweight titleholder comes to ONE on the back of an impressive streak of 10 consecutive victories, expressing confidence that he will soon challenge for a championship.

This move happened quickly for the 27-year-old, just three days after he declared himself a free agent. Yoza`s switch follows his public exit from K-1, where he gave up his lightweight title after not receiving any fight opportunities for a significant time.
Since last November, I haven’t received any fight offers at all. Even when I contacted them about relinquishing the belt, I got no response, so I went directly to the K-1 office and returned the belt myself.
Yoza intends to showcase his distinctive Karate-based style in ONE`s competitive bantamweight division, which includes top fighters like Jonathan Haggerty, Wei Rui, Petchtanong, and Elbrus Osmanov.
For those who follow the fighter, this decision isn`t unexpected. He has openly spoken about wanting to compete in ONE and challenge its athletes on multiple occasions. Furthermore, his teammates at Team VASILEUS—such as former three-division K-1 champion Takeru and the current ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing Champion Masaaki Noiri—have played a significant role in ONE`s efforts to expand in the Japanese market.
