Canadian UFC PPVs Now on Paramount+, Rogers SportsNet Airs Prelims

Mixed martial arts fans in Canada now have a more streamlined way to watch major UFC events. Starting in 2027, the main cards of numbered UFC events will be available live on Paramount+ for subscribers, marking a significant shift from the previous pay-per-view model. This transition follows a media rights arrangement that previously involved Rogers SportsNet.

While Paramount+ will host the main cards of these premier events, Rogers SportsNet will continue to broadcast UFC Fight Night events. Additionally, Rogers SportsNet will air the preliminary bouts of the numbered UFC cards in real-time. This change addresses a long-standing concern for Canadian fans who previously had to pay for numbered events, while fans in other regions could often access them at no extra cost.

The partnership with Rogers SportsNet, which began in 2024 with a multi-year deal, brings the UFC broadcast rights back to the platform after an earlier period where TSN held the rights in the 2010s.

Dana White Comments on UFC Broadcast Changes in Canada

UFC President Dana White expressed his enthusiasm for the new arrangement in a press release. He stated, “Beginning in 2027, Paramount+ subscribers in Canada will get every UFC Numbered Event main card live, at no additional cost. Paramount has been an incredible partner that understands the power of UFC, and together we’re going to make it easier than ever for fans in Canada to watch the biggest fights in the sport. I love Canada and I’m very excited for the fans to be able to enjoy the Paramount experience.”
