Josh Hokit has humorously targeted Tallison Teixeira following Teixeira’s recent defeat.
At UFC Macau, Teixeira faced the formidable Sergei Pavlovich, a top contender in the heavyweight division. The fight was exceptionally brief, with Pavlovich ending it in less than a minute.
From the opening bell, Pavlovich pressed forward, landing a decisive combination that momentarily dazed Teixeira. Despite appearing stunned, Teixeira remained on his feet. Pavlovich, known for his quick finishes, immediately followed up with a powerful assault. Teixeira attempted to defend himself by turning away, but Pavlovich relentlessly landed unanswered blows, leading the referee to step in and stop the fight.
Pavlovich’s victory came via TKO at just 39 seconds into the first round, extending his impressive UFC winning streak. The Russian fighter has openly expressed his desire for a title shot or a number one contender bout.
Meanwhile, Tallison Teixeira has now suffered two losses in his last four appearances.
Josh Hokit Taunts “Brazilian Practice Dummy” Tallison Teixeira
Undefeated fighter Josh Hokit, known for his engaging persona, has previously shown a playful disdain for Brazilian UFC competitors. Following Teixeira’s TKO loss at UFC Macau, Hokit took a jab at him.
Hokit’s comments on X (formerly Twitter) appeared to allude to Teixeira’s recent sparring session with Alex Pereira, who was preparing for his heavyweight debut. Hokit posted:
“Anyone can be the boogeyman if they fight this Brazilian practice dummy 😂.”
Josh Hokit is scheduled to compete against Derrick Lewis on June 14th at UFC Freedom 250.
