King Green Reflects on Dominant UFC 328 Victory Over Jeremy Stephens

UFC veteran King Green shared his thoughts following his decisive win against Jeremy Stephens at UFC 328.

King Green secured another victory at UFC 328, overcoming Jeremy Stephens. Despite being 39 years old, Green, a long-time elite competitor, shows no signs of slowing down.

Given his impressive career achievements, Green appears to be in a position to choose his future opponents.

During his post-fight press conference, King Green offered insightful reflections on his career journey and his recent triumph over Stephens.

King Green’s Post-Fight Analysis

“I honestly don’t feel like I was in a real fight, and I wasn’t pleased with how I finished it,” Green stated at the post-fight news conference. “My intention was to secure a knockout, reinforcing my status as one of the greatest fighters to ever compete. I made sure to convey this to Dana White after the submission, emphasizing my legacy in this sport. My career has been defined by this fighting style, by scrapping and delivering entertainment. That’s my essence. My age or external factors don’t change that.”

“I often feel insignificant, like I’m nothing,” Green confessed. “This feeling has been with me my whole life, even though people haven’t always expressed it. I still see myself as that struggling kid, content with whatever is offered. The mentality of ‘beggars can’t be choosers’ keeps me grounded. If I started feeling entitled and demanding things, I’d have to question who I think I am. So, I remain humble and accept whatever comes my way.”

“A main event slot would be fantastic, primarily for the additional $100,000 bonus. If you’re unaware, main event fighters receive an extra $100,000. That’s my sole motivation for wanting a main event booking.”
