Ciryl Gane Reclaims Interim Gold with Stunning Second-Round Knockout of Alex Pereira at UFC Freedom 250

Ciryl Gane has once again claimed the interim UFC heavyweight championship, delivering a spectacular performance to defeat Alex Pereira at UFC Freedom 250. Gane denied Pereira a historic achievement by securing a second-round knockout victory.

After a strong initial round from Gane, the French fighter, known as ‘Bon Gamin’, delivered a decisive finish in the second round. Gane landed a powerful right jab that sent Pereira to the canvas. While Gane attempted to capitalize on the ground, Pereira showed resilience and fought back to his feet.

Pereira struggled to recover from the onslaught, but Gane pressed his advantage. A brutal right hand from Gane pinned Pereira against the fence, leading referee Herb Dean to step in and halt the fight, thus securing Gane’s victory.

Official Result: Ciryl Gane defeated Alex Pereira via TKO (strikes) at 1:27 of Round 2, becoming the interim UFC heavyweight world champion.

This win makes Gane a two-time interim heavyweight titleholder and sets the stage for a highly anticipated unification bout against the reigning champion, Tom Aspinall.
