Hattan Alsaif Pro Debut Headlines PFL MENA’s Jeddah Return June 19

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is set to host its next event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on June 19 at the King Abdullah Sports City Indoor Arena. This event marks a significant moment as Hattan Alsaif prepares for her professional MMA debut. Additionally, Malik Basahel will be looking to maintain his undefeated record.

This fight night is part of the 2026 PFL MENA season. Jeddah has previously hosted successful PFL MENA cards, including playoff bouts in 2024, which garnered substantial fan attention and showcased local talent. The PFL views Jeddah as a key market for MMA’s expansion within the Kingdom, with events at the indoor arena consistently building a strong fanbase since 2024.

Saudi Stars Hattan Alsaif and Basahel Set to Shine at PFL MENA Jeddah on June 19

Hattan Alsaif, who became the first Saudi woman to be signed by a major global MMA promotion in January 2024, brings an impressive 4-0 amateur record under the PFL banner. Her amateur career includes notable finishes, such as a 41-second head-kick knockout of Nada Faheem – a Guinness World Record for the fastest PFL MENA stoppage – and a second-round TKO victory over Eman Baraka. The 23-year-old fighter, standing at 5’1″ with a 60-inch reach, primarily trains with Abdullah Al-Qahtani and is a Muay Thai gold medalist from the 2023 IFMA Worlds. Spectators have witnessed her dominant performances, including a win against Lilia Osmani where she utilized effective knee strikes to the body. For her professional debut in Jeddah, Alsaif will be competing in the atomweight division.

Malik Basahel, a 24-year-old flyweight known as “Storm,” boasts a perfect 3-0 professional record in the PFL, with all his victories coming by way of stoppage before the third round. His professional wins include a second-round TKO achieved with elbow strikes against Mountassir Boutouta, as well as earlier bouts that concluded with finishes, such as his fight against Saher Qasmieh. Prior to turning professional, Basahel had a notable amateur career, compiling a 21-3-1 record and securing the 2023 IMMAF Asian gold medal. He is also a multiple-time Saudi champion with 13 amateur stoppages. Basahel is eager to achieve his fourth consecutive professional win in front of his home crowd.

Jeddah plays a crucial role in the PFL’s regional expansion strategy. The league successfully launched its first MENA season in 2024, with events held in Riyadh and Jeddah, and subsequently expanded its regional presence in 2025 and 2026, despite some adjustments to the schedule. The King Abdullah Sports City is a versatile venue, hosting major sporting events, including soccer matches and concerts, and now once again, mixed martial arts. Fans can pre-register for discounted tickets via Platinumlist, with further details about the fight card expected soon.
