Rabindra Dhant’s Dominant TKO Victory Propels Him Forward in Road to UFC Season 5

Rabindra Dhant of Nepal has taken a significant stride towards securing a UFC contract, achieving an impressive TKO victory against Kimbert Alintozon at Road to UFC in Macau.

During the first day of Road To UFC Season 5, Dhant, after navigating a challenging initial round, completely took control of the fight in the second. Initially adjusting to Alintozon’s pressure and movement, the Nepali fighter began to dictate the bout’s tempo through clinch work and physical engagement against the cage.

Once the fight transitioned to the ground, Rabindra Dhant maintained his offensive pressure, not allowing his opponent any respite.

The 27-year-old skillfully transitioned to dominant positions, secured the mount, and unleashed a relentless series of punches, compelling the referee to stop the contest at 4 minutes and 37 seconds of the second round. This victory propels Dhant into the bantamweight tournament semifinals, improving his professional record to 10-1.

This performance was particularly noteworthy given the unexpected circumstances leading up to the fight. Rabindra Dhant had spent the majority of his training camp preparing for a different opponent before a last-minute change introduced Kimbert Alintozon into the matchup.

Already a pioneer for MMA in Nepal, Dhant made history in 2023 as the first fighter from the country to compete in ONE Championship. He also boasts a notable knockout win over India’s Chungreng Koren at Matrix Fight Night 17.
