Sean O’Malley Steals the Show with a Hilarious One-Liner During UFC Presser

At the UFC Freedom 250 pre-fight press conference, a verbal sparring match between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje took an unexpected turn when Sean O’Malley interjected with a memorable one-liner.

The main event of UFC Freedom 250 features a showdown between interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje and undisputed 155-pound titleholder Ilia Topuria. Meanwhile, Sean O’Malley is scheduled to face Aiemann Zahabi on the same night.

During the press conference held at the Lincoln Memorial, Gaethje expressed confidence that his coach, Trevor Wittman, had developed a winning strategy against Topuria. In response, Topuria retorted:

“You’re going to be alone in that octagon with me. You aren’t even the world champion, so what makes [your coach] the best?”

Gaethje then countered, emphasizing his coach’s qualifications:

“His success as a coach. His accomplishments as a coach.”

However, Topuria argued that his own coach, Javi Clement, is the best, citing his own achievements:

“So that makes my coach [Javi Clement] the best because I won the world title in featherweight, then I moved up to lightweight and won the title.”

Seizing the moment, Sean O’Malley humorously added his own claim:

“No, my coach is the best!”

Ilia Topuria Explains Push on Justin Gaethje During Face-Off

Following the press conference, a heated moment occurred when Ilia Topuria shoved Justin Gaethje during their face-off, despite UFC President Dana White’s request for them to maintain composure.

Later, the 29-year-old Topuria explained his actions:

“I told him don’t come closer and he told me, ‘What, are you going to punch me?’ And I was like, yeah. He came closer. So I just had to push him. If I punched him, he wouldn’t be able to show up.”
